About Our Organization

“Nothing is ever too hard to do if your faith is strong and your purpose is true.” Katelynn Battista, age 11

Eleven-year old Katelynn Battista of West Springfield lost her battle with cancer in 1997. She was a patient at the Jimmy Fund Clinic of the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA.   Katelynn’s life and spirit made a memorable impact on radio personalities Dan Williams & Kim Zachary of Mix 93.1 FM and Steven Stark of the USPS.

In 2011 Katelynn’s Ride donated $120,000, totaling over 1.4 million dollars in the past 11 years to fund research and treatment protocols at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Baystate Regional Cancer Program’s Pediatric Oncology.

Please join Dan, Kim, Steven, and the Battista Family as they share Katelynn’s courage and continue the fight against cancer through the 12th annual Katelynn’s Ride.

Event Schedule

100 mile ride ~ 7:00 AM (Registration begins at 6:00 a.m.)

50 mile ride ~ 9:00 AM (Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.)

25 mile ride ~ 11:00 AM (Registration begins at 10 a.m.)

10 mile ride ~ 11:30 AM (Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.)

10:00 AM ~ Family Fun Center opens.

12:00 PM ~ Lunch begins and last all afternoon

1:00 PM ~ Live music

4:00 PM ~ Raffle, Check Presentation, Closing Comments

$50.00 General Registration Fee

under 18 years as of 6/3/2012~ minimum fundraising amount ~ $150:

18 years and older as of 6/3/2012 ~ minimum fundraising amount ~ $350:

All fundraising minimums must be secured by credit card.
