Fundraising note:  Because of the awesome fundraising efforts of our riders and the generosity of our sponsors in 2011 Katelynn’s Ride donated $120,000 towards the fight against cancer!  To date Katelynn’s Ride has donated over 1.4 million dollars in the fight against cancer.  We look forward to riding with you this year!

Supporters of Kride take it upon themselves to find fun and creative ways to contribute to the fundraising.

Start your fundraising as soon as possible.

Remember your goal is to raise a minimum of $350. We encourage you to raise more if you can.

Write a personal letter; create a newsletter or press release; hang up pledge sheets at your office; make in-person solicitations; design a poster.

Be creative! If you write a letter, include a donation form and a self addressed, stamped, return envelope.

Remember to create your own K-Ride personal web page!

Your homepage is a great place to tell why you are riding in Katelynn’s Ride 2012. You can also include a picture, monitor your fundraising goal and see who has made a donation to support your ride. When your family, friends and co-workers make an e-donation to you this is the page they will see. Have fun and be creative! We have found this to be the easiest and most effective way to increase your  fundraising total.

Decide whom you will solicit for sponsorship ~ family, friends, neighbors, work associates, business contacts, local businesses, etc.

Establish a fundraising goal and let your potential sponsors know your goal.

Suggest a minimum dollar amount or put down options, example- $25, $50, $100, other.

Write a personal note of thanks to all of your sponsors. This will be particularly helpful in the following year.

Keep a record of your sponsors. Katelynn’s Ride does not keep track of your sponsors.

DONATIONS

E-Gifts: The easiest way for donors to support your ride is through an e-gift.  Send them a link to your personal page or direct them to www.kride.org to access our online gift form.

CASH ~ Do Not Mail Cash! If a sponsor(s) gives you cash, please write a personal check or send a money order to KRide.

CHECKS ~ Ask sponsors to make their check payable to Katelynn’s Ride

Checks made out to you must be endorsed by you and signed over to Katelynn’s Ride. (Pay to the order of KRide Inc.).

MATCHING GIFTS ~ Obtain the company’s matching gift form and send it to Katelynn’s Ride with the sponsor’s check. We will process the form and credit your fundraising account for the check and matching amount. Ask all of your sponsors if they have the capability of matching their gift through their employers.

SUBMITTING DONATIONS

Send collected donations to: KRide Inc. PO Box 755, Springfield MA.01101

DO NOT HOLD CHECKS!  It is not fair to your sponsors who are waiting for their checks to clear.
DO NOT MAIL CASH.
Use a Katelynn’s Ride Deposit Slip when submitting donations ~ include your name, address,  and total amount enclosed.

ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SPONSORS

All online gifts receive an automatic e-mail thank you from the Katelynn’s Ride.  All sponsors who give $250 or more will also receive a letter in the mail from Katelynn’s Ride. Sponsors names and addresses are obtained from checks, and donation forms for credit cards. If a check or donation form for credit cards does not include an address, you must write it in, or else your sponsor will not receive an acknowledgement. No matter what the size of the donation, we recommend you send a personal thank you to each of your sponsors.

Remember : Nothing is ever too hard to do if your faith is strong and your purpose is true.

    I heard that the 2012 Kride is going to be moved to Saturday June 2. Could you confirm this for me.
